This one of the sixth largest mainline railway station end terminals in Paris, France. It handles around 90,000,000 travellers consistently, making it the third busiest station of France and one of the busiest within Europe. It is the northern end of the Paris–Marseille railway. It is named after the city of Lyon, a stop for some long-separation trains which leave from here, most of the trains are on the way toward the south of France. The station is situated in the XII arrondissement, on the north bank of the waterway Seine, in the east of Paris.
