It was the landscape artist Charles d’Aubigny who, around 1860, would give fame to the artistic village of Auvers sur Oise, which would become the required stop for many famous impressionist painters. In 1890, Vincent van Gogh would move to Auvers, and would live at the Auberge Ravoux, room number 5, until his death. The Auberge is a restored and registered monument.
After visiting van Gogh’s room, if you wish you could even have breakfast in the Auberge, still decorated as it was in 1890. The other sites to visit include the Notre Dame d’Auvers church, the Aubigny Museum, the Chateau d’Auvers, and the cemetery where Vincent and Theo van Gogh are buried.
Around 1pm, you’ll start your trip back to Paris, where your chauffeur will drop you off at the location of your choice.
